Privacy
A plain-English explanation of what this website collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
The data controller is Gary Burfield-Wallis trading as Funky Indie Collective.
This website does not take orders or card payments, create customer accounts, or operate a newsletter at present.
Enquiry information is used to respond, keep an appropriate record of the conversation and protect the legitimate interests of the business. Technical logs may be used to keep the website secure, diagnose faults and prevent misuse. Information may also be retained where required by law.
Some links shared by Funky Indie Collective contain campaign tags showing the platform, campaign and post that produced the visit. When one of those tagged links is used, this website can add to simple first-party counters for the day, campaign, page or product, and the Amazon or Zazzle button clicked.
The campaign system stores aggregate counters only. It does not store your IP address, browser user-agent, full referrer, full query string, visitor ID, session ID or a profile of your browsing. It does not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, localStorage or sessionStorage, and it cannot tell whether you completed a purchase after leaving this website.
Aggregate campaign counters are used to understand which FIC posts, products and pages are useful. They are kept for up to 13 months and are not shared with an analytics provider. Amazon or Zazzle receive the normal web request only after you choose to follow a marketplace link.
Campaign measurement is currently allowed in this browser. You can turn it off without affecting the website or marketplace links.
The website does not set an analytics identifier. If you turn campaign
measurement off, it sets one first-party preference cookie called
fic_measurement with the fixed value off so the
choice can be remembered. The cookie does not identify you and is not
joined to campaign data.
Product links pass through a short first-party redirect so an eligible tagged campaign click can be added to an aggregate counter. The redirect accepts only product destinations held in the FIC catalogue and only approved Amazon and Zazzle web addresses.
The marketplace’s privacy notice, cookies, accounts and payment systems are separate from this website. Review its own information before submitting personal data.
Enquiries and related records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, manage any follow-up and meet legal or accounting responsibilities. Aggregate campaign counters are kept for up to 13 months. Information that is no longer needed is deleted securely.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of personal information, and to object to some processing. Contact the email address above to make a request.
You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.
